Experienced Counselor in Maryland

Pronouns: She/Her

I acknowledge that as individuals, we all have different needs. I strive to create a welcoming and safe space to support all clients, and understand what approach may be best in working with them. I use a mix of CBT and DBT frameworks and skills to help clients regulate their emotions and make connections between their thoughts and behaviors. I also integrate motivational interviewing and a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize their own power and resiliency.I love working with children, adolescents, young adults, families, and couples. I believe that everything we do serves a function; however, some are more helpful than others. I aim to help others understand the function of their behaviors, making a mind-body connection, and find coping skills that are most helpful to them. My ideal client would be open to learning more about themselves and others. I enjoy thinking outside of the box and support clients with empathy as they step outside of their comfort zone.
