There comes a time in everyone’s life when they consider therapy. If you are reading this, that time has come. It’s OK to not be OK. I believe we all have an inherent need to feel safe, seen, valued, connected and understood. When we don’t, we can feel anxious, depressed, worthless, and angry. I have a passion for working with clients who have a complex set of issues and are motivated to feel better.

I can help you gain self-awareness and an understanding of how early experiences have impacted your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and ways of relating with others. With EMDR Therapy I can help you heal from symptoms of PTSD (hypervigilance, flashbacks, negative beliefs and avoidance). This will help you manage and understand difficult emotions, develop better coping skills and learn how to practice self-care. I work collaboratively with clients using a relational approach. I specialize in complex trauma, dissociation, depression, anxiety and ADHD symptoms.

I am passionate about what I do and I will meet you where you are in life. I know it’s hard to find the right therapist, as I have been through this process myself. Finding the right therapist is important because that connection is what helps promote growth and healing. I can provide a calm, non-judgemental, encouraging and collaborative space to promote growth and change.

My Education

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in complex trauma, relational trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, anxiety and relationship issues. I graduated from McDaniel College in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Counselor Education and Community Mental Health. My areas of interest and continued study are trauma, dissociation, attachment theory and neurobiology. I am currently pursuing a certificate from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation’s (ISSTD) Professional Training Program to further my education in treating complex trauma and dissociative disorders. I have basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)  and I am working towards certification. I use a relational approach and incorporate EMDR Therapy, parts work, mindfulness and meditation to promote change and growth.
