Caitlin Shapiro, LCSW-C

Experienced Therapist in Maryland & New York

Whether you are struggling with addressing unhelpful patterns or coping with new life stressors- your goals and motivation for change are embraced in therapy! I hope to provide a warm and welcoming space for you to explore issues that concern you.  Many of my clients want more meaningful relationships or are healing from past relationships.  Within our therapeutic relationship, you can be transparent and speak freely- the space is yours.  It is my hope to build on your current coping skills to lead to a more empowered, productive, and unrestricted life.

I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan (ages 5yo-70yo) and specialize in working with young adults and adults.  Although my initial practice started in working with children with autism spectrum disorders; I expanded my practice to treat anxiety, depression, bipolar and psychosis disorders in adults.  Later in my career I have sought additional training in trauma treatment.   I am trained in Brainspotting therapyCognitive Behavioral therapy but utilize a holistic, person-centered, Mindfulness approach.
