telehealth
Seeing your mental health provider may be convenient when you can meet in the comforts of your home or office. That is why Silver Psychotherapy Services offers online visits and evaluations.
What is telehealth?
Instead of seeing your therapist in person, you will participate in video-conference using a computer, tablet or smartphone; your device will need to be enabled with internet access, a webcam or camera, and a microphone. The conversation between you and your therapist will be the same type of conversation you would have in a typical in-office face-to-face visit. Videoconferencing is conducted via a secure internet connection; all telehealth visits are confidential and HIPAA-compliant.
Will my insurance cover telehealth visits?
Check with your insurance provider. Most insurance providers are offering coverage of telehealth visits during the coronavirus pandemic.
How does a telehealth visit work?
- Schedule an appointment
- Go to or Download Google Meet: videoconferencing software to your computer, tablet or smartphone. Open the App Store in your iOS device or Google Play Store on Android. Click on the search icon and write Google Meet in the search icon. Now, once you have searched the app, click on the install option.
- You will receive an email or text from your therapist before each session.
How do I make an appointment?
You can schedule your telehealth visit the same way you would schedule a regular appointment, by calling the office or filling out the form or clicking the book an appointment online button below.
