With a background as a registered nurse, case manager, educator, and psychiatric nurse practitioner, Charlene brings a broad clinical perspective to mental health treatment. She works closely with each client to understand their symptoms, personal history, physical wellness, lifestyle habits, environment, and current life circumstances.
Charlene takes a holistic, person-centered approach to psychiatric care. She believes every client is unique and deserves to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. Her goal is to create a supportive space where clients can speak openly, ask questions, and work together to build a treatment plan that supports their goals.
Charlene has experience treating a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, trauma-related symptoms, depression, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, dual diagnoses, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and co-occurring physical and mental health conditions.
When medication management is appropriate, Charlene provides education about treatment options, reviews potential benefits and considerations, and closely monitors progress. She understands that beginning or changing psychiatric medication can feel overwhelming, and she prioritizes clear communication, informed decision-making, and care that feels comfortable and supportive.
Charlene is dedicated to helping clients better understand their mental health, explore treatment options, and move toward improved emotional wellness and daily functioning.
