She/Her

Licensed Masters Social Worker

Katie Plant is a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who works with children, teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship stress. Drawing on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and a mindfulness-based, holistic approach, she helps clients build practical skills for emotion regulation, communication, and resilience.  With the younger clients, she uses play therapy as a way for youth to express and strengthen coping strategies.

With experience in foster care and school settings, Katie supports youth and families through complex challenges—creating a safe, culturally responsive space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Her style is collaborative and strengths-based: sessions move at your pace, with clear goals and evidence-based strategies tailored to your needs.

Clients often come to Katie when they’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or coping with major changes. She partners with each person to develop insight, reduce distress, and cultivate confidence—so life feels more manageable day to day.
