Mackenzie is an outpatient child, teen, and young adult therapist with dual training in school counseling and clinical mental health counseling. With a background in elementary education, art instruction, and child social-emotional development, she is especially skilled at helping young people navigate school stress, behavior concerns, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Mackenzie is particularly dedicated to LGBTQIA+ youth, neurodivergence, anxiety, mood, and eating disorders.
She began her career as a school counselor, providing individual, group, and classroom counseling to support students’ emotional well-being and academic success. She has worked in an attachment-based therapeutic nursery, using Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), art, and sand tray with preschoolers with disabilities and trauma, and later provided individual counseling and expressive arts groups for college students in a community mental health clinic.
Mackenzie is trained in Circle of Security (COSI), Counseling Students with Disabilities, Lauryn’s Law, and CPI. Familiar with 504s and IEPs, she collaborates closely with families and schools. She now brings this experience to her role as an outpatient therapist, offering warm, creative, evidence-based care to children, teens, and young adults.
