Mackenzie Miller, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Pronouns:  She/Hers

With extensive experience in child, adolescent, and family therapy, I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health support throughout Pennsylvania.  I enjoy helping young individuals and families navigate emotional and behavioral challenges effectively.

In recent years, I expanded my practice to include individual therapy for adults, focusing on anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress management. I am passionate about empowering clients to overcome obstacles, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth in a supportive, client-centered environment.

It is an honor to hold hope for my clients, especially in the darkest of times. By utilizing an integrative approach to therapy, combining concepts and techniques from several evidence-based models, we will find the best fit.  I often draw from concepts and techniques of Attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing, creative expression techniques.

My Education

After earning a degree in psychology and counseling from West Chester University in Pennsylvania, Mackenzie’s training included an internship at an emotion and cognition lab for preschoolers. Graduate studies continued at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where she obtained a Master’s in Education in Counseling Psychology. During this time, her internship provided opportunities to deliver individual and group therapy to middle school students.

With over five years of experience in outpatient mental health services, her work included supporting individuals, families, and children—particularly those within the foster care system. Extensive training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and caregivers, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for all ages, and Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT).
