Brittany Stewart, LCSW-C, CCDC

Experienced therapist serving Maryland & Michigan

Preferred Pronouns:  She/Her/Hers

Starting therapy can feel difficult. It can also feel overwhelming or frightening. However, taking the first step can make a meaningful difference.

Brittany Stewart, LCSW-C, CCDC, offers a safe and supportive space for therapy. In this space, clients can be their authentic selves and speak freely. She works to help clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

Since 2012, Brittany has worked in the mental health field. During that time, she has supported many different populations. As a result, she brings experience, compassion, and flexibility to her clinical work.

Brittany’s training began with a focus on psychodynamic theory. This approach helps clients explore how past experiences may affect current challenges. In addition, she has completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, also known as CBT. She has also completed training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT.

When helpful, Brittany integrates these approaches into therapy sessions. For example, CBT can help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns. DBT can also support emotional regulation, coping skills, and healthier responses to stress.

Above all, Brittany values each client’s right to self-determination. Therefore, she believes therapy should be collaborative and respectful. Together, clients and Brittany work toward goals that feel meaningful and realistic.

Whether clients are facing stress, life transitions, emotional concerns, or relationship challenges, Brittany offers steady support. Additionally, she helps clients build practical tools for daily life. Over time, therapy can help clients feel more confident, empowered, and supported.

Brittany’s primary populations include teens and adults seeking therapy in Maryland and Michigan.

This should perform better because the sentence starters are more varied, only a few sentences exceed 20 words, and the transition words are now more frequent.
